LAST X ([SHIFT] + [IN])

This button is for re-registering an event which has been deleted.

A once deleted event can be re-registered.

O Recall the deleted event (the one with the “d” indication on the event number display area), and press the LAST X ([SHIFT] + [IN]) button.

The “d” indication is replaced with a blank display.

LAST ED ([SHIFT] + [OUT])

This button is for recalling the original data which has been previewed and edited.

O Press the LAST ED ([SHIFT] + [OUT]) button. The original data which has been previewed and edited is restored.

O Pressing the LAST ED button again restores the current edit data after the previous editing. Each time the LAST ED button is pressed, the original data and present edit data are displayed alternately.

LAST ED buffer:

The data automatically stored in the LAST ED buffer consists of the latest data stored in the EDL memory and preview data before any changes are made. When the LAST ED button is pressed, the data stored in this buffer is recalled. This function comes in handy when previewing the data before and after the changes are made in case the pre-preview editing data is more suited to the purpose at hand.

TOTAL ([SHIFT] + [DUR])

This button is for checking the total editing time.

The total editing time from the start of editing is displayed.

This enables the editing time to be checked when editing material with a fixed length.

O Press the TOTAL ([SHIFT] + [DUR]) button. While it is held down, the total editing time is shown in the VTR2 time display area.

Start time and end time:

The time that serves as the reference for calculation is determined by the edit point setting statuses, etc.

The total editing time is equal to the end time prescribed below minus the start time.

Start time:

Normally, the VTR2 (recorder) IN point of the edit data set in the first event of the EDL memory is the start time.

End time:

The VTR2 (recorder) OUT point of the displayed event is the end time.

When the OUT point has not been set, the VTR2 (recorder) IN point serves as the end time; when not even the IN point has been set, the VTR2 (recorder) OUT point of the previous event serves as the end time.
