Superimposed screen

Characters and symbols can be superimposed onto the output signals from the unit’s liquid crystal monitor or VIDEO MONITOR OUT connector.

This superimpose function can be turned ON or OFF by pressing the DISP ([SHIFT] + [0]) button.

The information to be superimposed and displayed can be selected using setup menu item No.002 (DISPLAY SEL).

$ TIME mode

In this mode, the counter value is displayed on one line.

In this mode, the counter value and VTR’s operating mode are displayed on two lines.

In this mode, the counter value, VTR’s operating mode and remaining tape amount are displayed on three lines.

OIt appears when ON has been selected as the setup menu item No.003 (REMAIN SEL) setting.

OIt does not appear when BOT or EOT is displayed (when the tape beginning or end has been detected)

Search speed and direction

OThe tape speed is displayed during

SHTL, VAR and PPLY.

OThe direction is displayed during jog or

EXT VTR control (REV, STILL, FWD).

EJECT, STOP, REW, FF, STANDBY OFF, PLAY, REC, EDIT, E PLAY, SHTL, JOG, VAR, PPLY, POWER OFF, AUTO OFF and DEW

When the tape beginning or end has been detected, BOT (beginning of tape) or EOT (end of tape) is displayed at the head of the line.

This appears when voice-over or audio cross channel editing has been set.

This appears when 20 seconds have elapsed after the commencement of input audio data writing in the internal memory in the course of a voice-over operation, and it indicates that the memory is now full.

UBR: User’s bit value (no colon on counter when this is displayed)

U¢B: User’s bit value (when reading has failed)

OTape format

This displays the format of the cassette tape.

OError messages

A warning message or the AUTO OFF message appears when an error has occurred.
