Setting the time code (T SET)
This procedure is followed to set the initial value of the time code for manual recording or 1ST EDIT.

1 Set the TC generator switch of the VTR which is to be used for recording to
In the REC RUN mode, the time code advances only while recording is in progress.
In the FREE RUN mode, the time code advances as soon as the time code setting is completed (and it advances all the time while the power is kept on).
2 Press the T SET ([SHIFT] + [3]) button.
3 Use the numeric input buttons to input the initial value of the time code to be recorded.
4 Press the ENTER button.
5 When recording manually by presetting the user’s bit as well, perform the following settings 1 through 4.
1Align the cursor with setup menu item No.574
(UB PRESET).
2Press the T SET ([SHIFT] + [3]) button.
3Use the numeric input buttons to input the
desired user’s bit value. (See page 75)
4Press the ENTER button.
6 Select the VTR to be used for recording, and press the REC button and PLAY button to start the recording.
