Storing the edit points

There are three main ways to store edit points.

1.Use the search dial to search the editing screen, and set the edit point using the MARK IN or MARK OUT button.

1Select the VTR whose edit points are to be set using the VTR1 button or VTR2 button.

2Use the search dial to search the edit point in the shuttle mode or jog mode.

3Temporarily stop the tape at the edit point, and press the MARK IN button or MARK OUT button. This sets the edit IN point or OUT point.

2.Use the numeric input buttons to input the time codes of the edit points directly.

1Select the VTR whose edit points are to be set using the VTR1 button or VTR2 button.

2Press the IN button or the OUT button.

3Input the desired time code value as a numeric value.

(Press “83209” if this is 8 minutes 32 seconds 09 frames.)

4The input value is entered when the ENTER button is pressed.

3.Specify and set the length (duration of the editing period).

1Select the VTR whose edit points are to be set using the VTR1 button or VTR2 button.

2After setting the edit IN point, press the DUR button.

3Input the desired editing period length (duration) as a numeric value.

(Press “2607” if this is 26 seconds 07 frames.)

4The input value is entered when the ENTER button is pressed.

<Notes>

O The set edit points are indicated by the edit point setting display lamps (IN lamp and OUT lamp).

O If three of the four points—the IN point and OUT point for VTR1 and the IN point and OUT point for VTR2—are set, the edit point setting procedure is completed.

The remaining point will be automatically calculated when editing is performed.
