Sending (DUMP) and loading (LOAD) edit data to an external component

The edit data stored in the EDL memory can be sent to and loaded from an external component using the EDL connector on the unit’s rear panel.

Outputting data to a computer, for instance, and loading data from a computer enables a wide range of systems to be run and managed in the following ways.

O Data can be edited off-line by the unit, and the edit data can be used by an on-line system.

O The edit data can be stored on a hard disk or floppy disk.

O The edit data can be checked by displaying it on a computer monitor or by printing it out.
