Preparing tapes for editing

Preparing tapes for insert editing

In the case of insert editing, the black burst signal, time code and CTL signal must be recorded for the whole editing period in addition to the run-up period for the assemble editing tape.

Method using first edit (1ST EDIT)

When T-END (tape end) is selected in step 2 for preparing tapes for assemble editing, 1ST EDIT recording continues until the tape end. This means that the black burst signal, time code and CTL signal can be recorded for the whole period.

Method using normal recording

1 Press the VTR2 button to select VTR2, and press the PLAY button while holding down the REC button. VTR2 recording begins.

2 If the preset value has been set in the TC preset mode (R-RUN), recording starts from the set value. (See pages 74 to 76)

<Note>

When color bars or test patterns are required on the tape for insert editing, input the respective signals and set the input selector to the applicable position.
