11.1 Report messages

To indicate the unit’s fax transmission/reception status, one of the following messages will be printed on the confirmation and journal reports (page 42).

Memory Full

Load paper (page 14) or remove the jammed paper

 

 

(page 94).

 

 

L If the PC fax setting (feature #442 on page 65) is set

 

 

to Always, check the connection between the

 

 

computer and the unit.

 

 

L If the fax preview mode (feature #448 on page 52) is

 

 

set to On, view, print or save the documents, and

 

 

then erase unnecessary documents (page 49, 53).

No Document / Failed Pickup

L The document was not fed into the unit properly. Re-

 

 

insert it and try again.

 

 

 

Other Fax not responding

L The other party’s fax machine is busy or has run out

 

 

of recording paper. Try again.

 

 

L The other party’s fax machine rings too many times.

 

 

Send the fax manually (page 42).

 

 

L The other party’s machine is not a fax machine.

 

 

Check with the other party.

 

 

L The number you dialed is not in service.

 

 

 

Pressed the ‘Stop’ key

The cover was opened

L The left cover was opened. Close it and try again.
