Troubleshooting

General

Problem	Cause & Remedy
The handset and/or base unit	• Check the settings (p. 12–14).
does not work.	• Fully charge the battery (p. 13).
	• Clean the charge contacts and charge again

	• Check battery installation (p. 13).
	• Unplug the base unit’s AC adaptor to reset it.
	Plug in, and try again.
	• The handset has not been registered to the
	base unit. Register the handset (p. 84, steps 5
	and 6).
	• Re-install the battery (p. 13) and fully charge it.
	• KX-TG5240AL is not designed to be used
	with rotary (pulse dialling) services.
