Dual Discs
!DualDiscs are two-sided discs that have a
recordableCD for audio on one side and a
recordableDVD for video on the other.
!Playbackof the DVD side ispossible with
thisunit. However, since the CD side of
DualDiscs is not physically compatible
withthe general CD standard, it may not be
possibleto play the CD side with this unit.
!Frequentloading and ejecting of a Dual
Discmay result in scratches on the disc.
Seriousscratches can lead to playback pro -
blemson this unit. In some cases, a Dual
Discmay become stuck in the disc loading
slotand will not eject. To prevent this, we
recommendyou refrain from using Dual
Discwith this unit.

Compressed audio files onthe disc
!Dependingon the version of Windows
MediaPlayer used to encode WMA files,
albumnames and other text information
maynot be correctly displayed.
!Theremay be a slight delay when starting
playbackof audio files encoded with image
data.
!ISO9660 Level 1 and 2 compliant. Romeo
andJoliet file systems are both compatible
withthis player.
!Multi-sessionplayback is possible.
!Compressedaudio files are not compatible
withpacket write data transfer.
!Only64 characters from the beginning can
bedisplayed as a file name (including the
extensionsuch as.wma or.mp3) or a folder
name.
!Folderselection sequence or other opera-
tionmay be altered depending on the en-
codingor writing software.
!Regardlessof the length of blank section
betweenthe songs of original recording,
compressedaudio discs play with a short
pausebetween songs.
!Fileextensions suchas .wma,.mp3 or .m4a
mustbe used properly.
