Attaching the front panel

1 Slidethe front panel to the left.
Frontpanel and the head unit are jointed on
theleft side. Make sure that the front panel
hasbeen jointed to the head unit.
2 Pressthe right side of the front panel
untilit is firmly seated.
#Ifyou cant attach the front panel to the head
unitsuccessfully, try again. Front panel may be
damagedif you attach the front panel forcedly.
Resetting the microprocessor
PressingRESET lets you reset the micropro-
cessorto its initial settings without changing
thebookmark information.
Themicroprocessor must be reset under the
followingconditions:
!Priorto using this unit for the first time
afterinstallation
!Ifthe unit fails to operate properly
!Whenstrange or incorrect messages ap-
pearon the display
1 Turnthe ignition switch OFF.
2 Removethe front panel.
Referto Removing the front panel on the pre-
viouspage.
3 PressRESET with a pen tip or other
pointedinstrument.

Note
Aftercompleting connections or when you want
toerase all memorized settings or return the unit
toits initial (factory) settings, switch your engine
ONor set the ignition switch to ACC ON before
pressingRESET.
Feature demo mode
Thefeature demo automatically starts when
youselect the source OFF. The demo con-
tinueswhile the ignition switch is set toACC
orON. To cancel the feature demo, press and
holdVOLUME/MUTE. To restart the feature
demo,press and hold VOLUME/MUTE again.
Rememberthat if the feature demo continues
operatingwhen the car engine is turned off, it
maydrain battery power.
Important
Thered lead (ACC) of this unit should be con-
nectedto a terminal coupled with ignition switch
on/offoperations. If this is not done, the vehicle
batterymay be drained.
