Parking brake interlock

Certainfunctions (DVD/TV viewing and certain
touchpanel keys) offered by this unit could be
dangerousand/or unlawful if used while driv-
ing.To prevent such functions from being
usedwhile the vehicle is in motion, there is an
interlocksystem that senses when the parking
brakeis set. If you attempt to use the functions
describedabove while driving, they will be-
comedisabled until you stop the vehicle in a
safeplace, and (1) apply the parking brake, (2)
releasethe parking brake, and then (3) apply
theparking brake again. Please keep the
brakepedal pushed down before releasing the
parkingbrake.

When using a display connected

to REAR MONITOR OUTPUT

ThisunitsREAR MONITOR OUTPUT is for
connectionof a display to enable passengers
inthe rear seats to watch the DVD or TV.
WARNING
NEVERinstall the rear display in a location that
enablesthe driver to watch the DVD or TV while
driving.

When using a rear view camera

Withan optional rear viewcamera, you are
ableto use this unit as an aid to keep an eye
ontrailers, or backing into a tight parking
spot.

cameraimages may differ slightly according
towhether full screen images are displayed
whenbacking up, and whether the images are
usedfor checking the rear when the vehicle is
movingforward.
Toavoid battery exhaustion
Besure to run the vehicle engine while using
thisunit. Using this unit without running the
enginecan result in batter y drainage.
!Whenno power is supplied to this unit be-
causeof a replacement of the vehicle bat-
teryor forsome similarreason, the
microcomputerof this unit is returned to
itsinitial condition. We recommend that
youtranscribe the audio adjustment data.
