Adjusting initial settings

Usingthe initial settings, you can customize
varioussystem settings to achieve optimal per-
formancefrom this unit.
1Functiondisplay
Showsthe function names.
1 Touchthe source icon and then touch
OFFto turn this unit off.
2 Touchthe screen to display the touch
panelkeys.
3 TouchAV MENU and then touch
INITIALMENU to display the function
names.
Thefunction names are displayed and oper-
ableones are highlighted.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
touchNEXT.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,touch PREV.
4 TouchESC to return to the ordinary dis-
play.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.

Switching the auxiliary setting

Auxiliarydevices connected to this unit canbe
activatedindividually. Set each AUX source to
ONwhen using. For more information about
connectingor using auxiliar y devices, refer to
Usingthe AUX source on page 48.

Switchingthe auxiliary 1 setting

%TouchAUX1 on the initial menu to se-
lectdesired setting.
!VIDEO–an iPod with video capabilities
connectedwith 4-pole mini plug cable (e.g.,
CD-V150M)
!AUDIO–auxiliary device connected with
stereomini plug cable
!OFF–No auxiliary device is connected

Switchingthe auxiliary 2 setting

%TouchAUX2 on the initial menu to turn
auxiliary2 setting on.
#Toturn auxiliary 2 setting off, touch AUX2
again.

Setting the rear output and

subwoofercontroller

Thisunit’s rear output (rear speaker leads out-
putand RCA rear output) can be used for full-
rangespeaker (FULL) or subwoofer (S.W) con-
nection.If you switch the rear outputsetting
toS.W, you can connect a rear speaker lead
directlyto a subwoofer without using an auxili-
aryamp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
erconnection (FULL). When rear output is
connectedto full range speakers (when FULL
isselected), you can connect other full range
speakers(REAR) or a subwoofer (S.W) to the
RCArear output.
!Whenthe multi-channel processor (e.g.,
DEQ-P8000)is connected to this unit, you
cannotoperate this function.
1 TouchREAR SP on the initial menu.
2 Touchcor dnext to REAR SP to switch
therear output setting.
Touchcto select full-range speaker and FULL
appearsin the display. Touch dto select sub-
wooferand S.W appears in the display.
#Whenno subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select FULL (full-range speaker).
#Whena subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select S.W (subwoofer).
