2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to display the de-
tailedlist of your desired Phone Book
entry.
Seestep 2 to 5 on Calling a number in the
PhoneBook on the previous page for how to
dothis.
3 Pressand hold MULTI-CONTROL to dis-
playthe genre input screen.
Editgenre is displayed.
4 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta genre.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed up or
down,the genres are switched in thefollowing
order:
Home(home)—Mobile (mobile)—Office (of-
fice)—Others(others)
5 PressMULTI-CONTROL to assign the
genreto the phone number.
Theselected genre is assigned to the phone
number,and the display reverts to the detailed
list.
Editing the name of a Phone
Book entry
Youcan edit the names of Phone Book entries.
Eachname can be up to 40 characters long.
1 PressLIST to display the Phone Book.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to display the de-
tailedlist of your desired Phone Book
entry.

4 TurnMULTI-CONTROL clockwise or
counterclockwiseto switch to the name

Editgenre (genre input screen)—Edit name
(nameinput screen)—Edit number (number
inputscreen)—Edit icon (icon selection
screen)—Clearmemory (clear memor y
screen)
5 PressDISPLAY to select the desired
charactertype.
Eachpress of DISPLAY switches the character
typesin the following order:
Alphabet(upper case), numbers and symbols
—alphabet(lower case)—numbers and sym-
bols—Europeancharacters, such as those
withaccents (e.g., á,à,ä,ç) or Russian char-
acters
#Pressingand holding DISPLAY enables you to
switchcharacter set between ISO8859-1 (Eur-
opeancharacters) and ISO8859-5 (Russian char-
acters)alternately.
#Europeancharacters and Russian characters
can’tbe mixed.
6 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta letter.
#Todelete a character and leave a space, select
“_”(underbar).
7 PushMULTI-CONTROL right to move
thecursor to the next character position.
Whenthe letter you want is displayed, push
MULTI-CONTROLright to move the cursor to
thenext position and then select the next let-
ter.Push MULTI-CONTROL left to move back-
wardsin the display.
8 PressMULTI-CONTROL to store the new
name.
Afterthe name is stored, the display revertsto
thePhone Book entry list.
