Protecting your unit fromtheft
Thefront panel can be detached from the
headunit and stored in the provided protective
caseto prevent theft.
!Ifthe front panel is not detached fromthe
headunit within five seconds of turning off
theignition, a warning tone will sound and
thefront panel will open.
!Youcan turn off the warning tone. See
Switchingthe warning tone on page 93.
!Youcan turn off the face auto open. See
Switchingthe face auto open on page 93.
Important
!Neveruse force or grip the display and the
buttonstoo tightly when removing or attach-
ing.
!Avoidsubjecting the front panel to excessive
shocks.
!Keepthe front panel out of direct sunlight and
hightemperatures.
!Afew seconds after turning the ignition
switchto on or off, the front panel automati-
callymoves. When this happens, your fingers
maybecome jammed in the panel, so keep
yourhands away from it.

Removing the front panel

1 Pressand hold EJECT to open the front
panel.
2 Slideand remove the front panel to-
wardyou.
Takecare not to grip it too tightly or to drop
thefront panel and protect it from contact
withwater or other fluidsto prevent perma-
nentdamage.
3 Putthe front panel into provided pro-
tectivecase for safe keeping.

Attaching the front panel

1 Makesure the inner cover is closed.
2 Replacethe front panel by clipping it
intoplace.
About the demo mode
Thisunit features two demonstration modes.
Oneis the reverse mode, the other is the fea-
turedemo mode.
