phaseand appearsin the display.
3 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectslope.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right,slopes are selected in the following
order:

Note
Whenslope of subwoofer and high pass filter are
12dB,and same cut-off frequency, the phase is
reversed180 degrees at the cut-off frequency. In
thiscase, reversing the phase assures improved
soundcontinuity.
Using the high pass filter
Whenyou do not want low sounds fromthe
subwooferoutput frequency range to play
fromthe front or rear speakers, turn on the
HPF(high pass filter). Only frequencies higher
thanthose in the selected range are outputted
fromthe front or rear speakers.

Muting the speaker units (filters)

Youcan mute front and rear speaker units (fil-
ters)separately. When speaker units (filters)
aremuted, no sound is outputted from those
speakers.
!Ifyou mute the selected speaker unit (fil-
ter),MUTE ON is displayed and no adjust-
mentsare possible.
!Evenif any speaker unit (filter) is muted,
youcan adjust the parameters for other
speakerunits (filters).
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
FrontHPF (or Rear HPF).
FrontHPF (or Rear HPF) appears in the dis-
play.
2 Pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL down
tomute the selected speaker unit (filter).
MUTEON is displayed.
#Tocancel the muting, push MULTI-CONTROL
up.

Setting the high pass filter for

front speakers

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
FrontHPF.
FrontHPF appears in the display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectslope.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right,slopes are selected in the following
order:

#Ifyou set the slope to 0 dB/oct. (Pass), the
audiosignal bypasses the filter, so the filter does
nothave an effect.
3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to select
FrontHPF FREQ.
FrontHPF FREQ. appears in the display.
4 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectcut-off frequency.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right,cut-off frequencies are selected in the
