Youcan use this unit to control a multi-CD
player,which is sold separately.
Theseare the basic steps necessar y to play a
CDwith your multi-CD player. More advanced
CDoperation is explained starting on the next
page.
1Discnumber indicator
Showsthe disc number currently playing.
2Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track number currently playing.
3Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack.
4Disctitle indicator
Showsthe title of the currently playing disc.
!Ifno title has been entered for the cur-
rentlyplaying disc, nothing is displayed.
1 PressSOURCE to select the multi-CD
player.
PressSOURCE until you see Multi-CD dis-
played.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta disc you want to listen to.
#Youcan also select a disc by using 1–6but-
tonson the remote control.
!Fordiscs 1 to 6, press the corresponding
buttonnumber.
!Fordiscs 7 to 12, press and hold the corre-
spondingnumbers, such as 1for disc 7,
untilthe disc number appears in the dis-
play.
3 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
right.
4 Toskip back or forward to another
track,push MULTI-CONTROL left or right.
PushingMULTI-CONTROL right skips to the
startof the next track. Pushing
MULTI-CONTROLleft once skips to the start
ofthe current track. Pushing again will skip to
theprevious track.
Notes
!Whenthe multi-CD player performs the pre-
paratoryoperations, Ready is displayed.
!Ifan error message such as ERROR-11 is dis-
played,refer to the multi-CD player owner ’s
manual.
!Ifthere are no discs in the multi-CD player ma-
gazine,No Disc is displayed.
!Whenyou select a CD TEXT disc on a CD TEXT
compatiblemulti-CD player, the disc title auto-
maticallybegins to scroll in the display. Ever
Scrollfunction is ON at the initial setting, the
disctitle scrolls continuously. About Ever
Scroll,refer to Switching the Ever Scroll on
page95.
Selecting a track directly
Whenusing the remote control, you can select
atrack directly by entering the desired track
number.
1 PressDIRECT.
Tracknumber input display appears.
2 Press0–9 buttons to enter the desired
tracknumber.
#Youcan cancel the input number by pressing
CLEAR.
