Changing the Phone Bookdisplay order
Youcan choose to display the Phone Book
sortedalphabetically by first name or last
name.
!Withsome cellular phones, this feature
maynot be possible.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
Phonebook name view in the function
menu.
Phonebook name view appears in the dis-
play.
2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to change the
nameview order.
Invertedis displayed and the name view
orderis changed.
PressingMULTI-CONTROL repeatedly
changesthe name view order between first
nameand last name.
Calling a number in the PhoneBook
Afterfinding the number in the Phone Book
youwant to call, you can select the entry and
makethe call.
1 PressLIST to display the Phone Book.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectthe first letter of the name you are
lookingfor.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
rightalphabetical letters are changed.
#TurningMULTI-CONTROL clockwiseor coun-
terclockwisecan also perform the same opera-
tion.
3 PressMULTI-CONTROL to display en-
tries.
Thedisplay shows the first three Phone Book
entriesstarting with that letter (e.g. “Ben”,
“Brian”and“Burt”when “B”is selected).
#Ifyou want to go back and select another al-
phabeticalletter, push MULTI-CONTROLleft.
4 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta Phone Book entry you want to call.
PushingMULTI-CONTROL up or down
changesPhone Book entries.
5 PushMULTI-CONTROL right to display
thedetailed list of the selected entry.
Thephone number, name and genre (if as-
signed)of entries are displayed in the detailed
list.
#Youcan scroll the name and phone number
byholding DISPLAY.
#Ifseveral phone numbers are entered to an
entry,select one by turning MULTI-CONTROL.
#Ifyou want to go back and select another
entry,push MULTI-CONTROL left.
6 PressMULTI-CONTROL to make a call.
7 Toend the call, press PHONE.
Theestimated call time appears in the display
(thismay differ slightly from the actual call
time).
Assign genres to phone numbers
Ifthere are a lot of entries in the Phone Book it
canbe useful to assign them to specific gen-
res(categories) for easier searching. There are
fourpreset genres that you can assign entries
to:Home,Mobile,Office and Others.
