Thisunit can control aSIRIUS Satellite Radio
tuner(sold separately).
Whenthe SIRIUS tuner is used together with
thisunit, some operations differ slightly from
thosedescribed in the SIRIUS operation man-
ual.This manual provides information on
thesepoints. For all other information on
usingthe SIRIUS tuner, please refer to the SIR-
IUSoperation manual.
!Withthis unit, you can operate one addi-
tionalfunction: SIRIUS channel direct se-
lection.Refer to Selecting a SIRIUS channel
directlyon this page.
1SIRIUSband indicator
Showsthe SIRIUS band which has been
selected.
2SIRIUSpreset number indicator
Showswhat SIRIUS preset has been
selected.
3SIRIUSchannel select setting indicator
Showswhat channel select setting has
beenselected. CH is displayed when
Channelnumber is selected, and CAT is
displayedwhen Category is selected.
4SIRIUSchannel number indicator
Showsto which SIRIUS channel number
thetuner is tuned.
5SIRIUSchannel name
Showsthe channel name of broadcast
channel.
1 PressSOURCE to select SIRIUS.
PressSOURCE until you see SIRIUS displayed.
2 PressBAND to select a SIRIUS band.
PressBAND repeatedly until the desired SIR-
IUSband is displayed, SR-1,SR-2 or SR-3.
3 Toperform tuning, push
MULTI-CONTROLleft or right.
Thechannels move up or down step by step.
Channelsthat cannot currently be selected
areskipped, and the next channel is selected.
#Ifyou push and hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
right,you can increase or decrease channel num-
bercontinuously.
#Youcan also perform tuning from a desired
channelcategory. (Refer to Selecting a channel in
thechannel category on page 72.)
Note
Itmay take a few seconds before you can hear
anythingwhile this unit acquires and processes
thesatellite signal when you change the source
toSIRIUS tuner or select a channel.
Selecting a SIRIUS channeldirectly
Youcan select a SIRIUS channel directly by
enteringthe desired channel number.
1 PressDIRECT on the remote control.
CHANNELINPUT appears in the display.
2 Use0–9 on the remote control to input
thedesired channel number.
#Tocancel the input numbers, press CLEAR on
theremote control.
3 Whilethe input number is displayed,
pressDIRECT on the remote control.
Theentered SIRIUS channel is selected.
