Power Properties

2.5.1 Power Properties

Power Properties for the battery can be accessed either through the Power icon in the Control Panel (for the Control Panel screen, see Figure 2.14 on page 30), or by double-clicking the taskbar power icon (this icon changes depending on power status, as described in Table 2.1).

System Tray Icon	Description
Low Back-up	Appears when back-up battery charge is less than 25% of
Battery	capacity.
External Power Indi-	Appears when the NETBOOK PRO is connected to the AC
cator	adaptor and the main battery is fully charged. Disappears
	when the AC adaptor is disconnected.
Low Main Battery	Appears when main battery charge drops below 50% of
	capacity.
Critical Main	Appears when main battery charge drops below 25% of
Battery	capacity.
Charging Main	Appears when the NETBOOK PRO is connected to the AC
Battery	adaptor, and the battery is charging.
No Charge Icon	All charge-related icons disappear if battery levels are not
	low or critical, and the NETBOOK PRO is not connected
	to an external power source.
