Battery Care

1.Switch the NETBOOK PRO off.

2.Slide the battery pack latch towards the rear of the NETBOOK PRO.

3.Pull the battery away from the NETBOOK PRO to remove it.

4.Push in the replacement battery pack.

The backup battery preserves the contents of the NETBOOK PRO.

If you are going to use more than one battery pack, you should indicate this on the Battery tab of the Power Properties dialog by selecting the check-box ‘Using multi- ple main battery packs’. This option indicates that any time you remove a battery, you may be replacing it with a different one. When the battery is removed, the NETBOOK PRO discards the current battery capacity information, and starts from the ‘Not calibrated’ state for the battery gauge.

Important: Always switch off the NETBOOK PRO before removing the main battery.

2.5.2.4Prolonging Battery Life

When your NETBOOK PRO is switched off, it is in the ‘Suspend’ state and will continue to use a small amount of battery power. If you are going to leave your NETBOOK PRO switched off for a long period of time, you are advised to back up your data beforehand because the batteries will eventually run out. For details on battery usage and life, please refer to “Battery Life Of The NETBOOK PRO” on page 102.
