Introduction

4.1 Introduction

Windows® Explorer is the NETBOOK PRO’s file manager. It is accessible by double-clicking on the My Computer icon.

Note: When you turn the NETBOOK PRO on from a suspend, the programs that were previously open will still be open and will be displayed on the screen. When you turn on the NETBOOK PRO from a cold or warm boot, you will see the Desktop.

4.2 Moving Around

To move the highlight between the files and folders on the screen:

click on the names, or use the arrow keys. If there are more files in the folder than can be displayed on screen, scroll the screen using the scroll bar.

To view the files on a memory card:

change the current folder by opening the My Computer folder and selecting the appropriate memory card icon.

4.3 Opening Files, Folders And Programs

To open a file or folder in Windows Explorer:

double-click, or highlight it and press Enter. In most cases, if a program is already running, opening a file associated with that program will open another instance of that program.

To run a program:

Open the Start Menu by clicking on the Start button in the bottom left corner of the screen. Click on Programs to display all the programs available. Click on the name of the program you wish to run.
