2Place the document face down with the top edge going in first, and insert it all the way into the feeder. Make sure that the roller draws the document in.

Removing a document from the feeder
1Open the cover (➊) and remove the document (➋).
•Caution: Attempting to remove a document without opening the cover may damage the feeder mechanism.
