Locking your telephone
You can prevent unauthorized persons from using your telephone (and the telephone directory) during your ab- sence.
Precondition: You have been assigned a personal iden- tification number (PIN) by the service personnel.
Preventing unauthorized dialing:
Press the key. The lamp lights up.
Enter the service code.
Select and confirm.
Select and confirm.
Enter the PIN (code number).
When the telephone is disabled in this way, a special dial tone is audible when the handset is lifted. Internally (within HiPath 4000), dialing is possible in the usual way.
Enabling the telephone again:
Press the key. The lamp lights up.
Enter the service code.
Select and confirm.
Select and confirm.
Enter the PIN (code number).
Input is followed by the display: "Executed".
