ATS38 Disconnect Delay
S Register 38 determines the number of seconds the modem will wait before hanging up after the ATH command is issued or the DTR signal is lowered — after the &D2 command has been issued. If a disconnect delay has been defined, the modem will attempt to empty the contents of its data buffers before actually going
If the modem empties its buffers before the defined disconnect delay expires, the modem will hang up immediately.
The modem will respond with NO CARRIER, rather than OK, if S Register 38 is between 1 and 255 and the modem’s buffers have not been emptied when it hangs up.
The length of the disconnect delay may be selected with the %D command.
