Dial Modifiers
Dial modifiers enable you to change the characteristics of dialling.
(Definitions for all modifiers appear on the following pages.)

This modifier orders the modem to pause before dialling the rest of the phone number. This is useful when using a PABX and you need to dial a number to connect to an outside line.
For example: If you must dial 0 to connect to an outside line before dialling (09)

The length of the pause is determined by the value in S Register 8.
☞UK Modems. If your PABX requires more than four seconds to obtain a line, add no more than one extra , to your dial command.
