Off-hook Transmission (External Telephone Dialing)

Tips

•The optional external telephone is required.

•You can specify the remote FAX using only the external telephone.

1 Press the		key.
2	Place the original.
	• For details on how to place originals on the original glass.

( See page 2-8.)

• Only one original sheet can be sent when scanning an original on the glass.

3 Set the scanning conditions. ( See pages 2-10 to 2-15.)

4 Pick up the handset of the External Telephone.

5 Enter the remote FAX number using the keypad of the External Telephone.

6 When you hear the answering tone output from the ExternalTelephone after the connection is made with

7	the remote FAX, press the		key.
	Press the	key. (Select “1.TRANSMIT”.)
	• For scanning on the glass, setting for the original size is
	required here. (e-STUDIO16 only.		See page 2-14.)

8 When you hear the digital copier switch the phone line, replace the handset of the External Telephone.
