When to Set

Set this mode when the line is being used exclusively by the FAX.

Set this mode when the FAX is connected to a line that is also used as a voice telephone line.

Description

The FAX automatically receives incoming originals when the bell rings.

When the bell sounds, pick up the handset of the telephone. If the incoming call is a telephone call, start talking with the other party.

If you hear a facsimile tone, press the

key and the key. Select “2.RECEIVE” and replace the handset to the cradle after you hear the phone line switch.The original then starts to be received.

Tip

You cannot talk with the other party un- less an external telephone is attached.

Setting AUTO RECEIVE Modes Display the AUTO RECEIVE Mode menu.

Press: then

Select the desired Receive Mode.

To set the AUTO RECEIVE, press .

To set the MANUAL RECEIVE, press .

When “1.AUTO RECEIVE” is selected, follow step 3.

When “2.MANUAL RECEIVE” is selected, the setting

procedure is completed.

To cancel setting midway, press the key.
