(Input signal information)

You can display the format, sampling frequency, channel, bit rate and flag data of the current input signal.

Audio Info. (Audio information)

Format

Signal format. When this unit cannot detect a digital

signal, it automatically switches to analog input.

Sampling

The number of samples per second taken from a

continuous signal to make a discrete signal.

Channel

The number of source channels in the input signal

(front/surround/LFE). For example, a multi-channel

soundtrack with 3 front channels, 2 surround channels

and LFE, is displayed as “3/2/0.1”.

Bitrate

The number of bits passing a given point per second.

Dialogue

The dialogue normalization level preset to the current

input bitstream signal (see page 131).

Flag1/Flag2

Flag data encoded in the bitstream, or PCM signals that

cue this unit to automatically switch decoders

(“Surround EX”, etc.).

Notes

“–––” appears when this unit cannot display the corresponding information.

Some high definition audio bitstream contents may not include the discrete surround back left and right channel signals but are encoded at the bitrate of 192 kHz.

Even if you make settings to output bitstreams directly, some players convert the Dolby TrueHD or Dolby Digital Plus bitstreams to the Dolby Digital bitstreams, while converting the DTS-HD Master Audio or DTS-HD High Resolution Audio bitstreams to the DTS bitstreams.
