1.3PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

For the connection of FDD unit (option), see the Interface Manual.

1.3.1Handling Disks

(1)General precautions

(a)Don’t open the shutter section. The disk will be unusable should any dirt get on the magnetic surface.

(b)Keep away from speakers or other devices which create strong magnetic fields. If you don't, the contents of your disks may get erased.

(c)Keep out of direct sunlight and away from hot objects.

(d)Don't stack books or folders on top of a disk.

(e)Stick the label on in the correct position. If you put on a new label, be sure to take the old label off first.

(f)Store your disk in a location having the following temperature and humidity range:

Storage temperature	: 4 to 53°C
Storage humidity	: 8 to 90 %
