Basic troubleshooting checklist
If you are experiencing problems with the printer, this checklist may help identify the cause of the problem.
zIs the printer connected to power?
zIs the printer in the READY state?
zAre all necessary cables connected?
zAre any messages displayed on the control panel?
zWas a genuine HP supply installed?
zWere recently replaced print cartridges installed correctly? Was the pull tab on the cartridge removed?
zWere recently installed supply items (image fuser kit, image transfer kit) installed correctly?
zIs the on/off switch in the on position?
