Using the optional automatic ice maker

Before you turn the ice maker on, be sure that it is attached to a water supply. Instructions for the ice maker water supply hookup are in the “Attaching the optional ice maker to a water supply” section.

•The ON/OFF lever is a wire signal arm. Push the arm down to start making ice automatically, and push it up to shut off the ice maker.

•It is normal for the ice to be at- tached at the corners. It will break apart easily.

•The ice maker will not operate until the freezer is cold enough to make ice. This can take as long as

24 hours.

REMEMBER:

•The quality of your ice will be only as good as the quality of the water supply that the ice maker is hooked up to.

•Avoid connecting the ice maker to a softened water supply. Water softener chemicals (such as salt) can damage the ice maker mold and lead to poor quality ice. If a softened water supply cannot be avoided, make sure the water softener is operating properly and is well maintained.

Lire les renseignements suivants pour apprendre comment utiliser votre machine à glaçons. Avant de mettre en marche la machine à glaçons, s’assurer qu’elle est raccordée à un conduit d’eau. •Le levier ON/OFF (marche/arrêt) est un bras de commande en broche. Abaisser le bras pour commencer automatiquement la fabrication de glaçons, et lever le bras pour arrêter la fab rication de glaçons.

•Il est normal que des glaçons se collent aux coins. Ils se sépareront facilement.

•La machine à glaçons ne fonction- nera pas avant que le congélateur ne soit assez froid pour fabriquer des glaçons. Ce délai peut demander jusqu’à 24 heures.

À NOTERÊ :

•La bonne qualité de vos glaçons dépendra de la bonne qualité de l’approvisionnement d’eau auquel est raccordée la machine à glaçons.

•Éviter de brancher la machine à glaçons à un approvisionnement d’eau adoucie. Les produits chimiques de l’eau adoucie (tel que le sel) peuvent endommager le moule de la machine à glaçons et fournir des glaçons de piètre qualité. Si un approvisionnement d’eau adoucie ne peut pas être évité, s’assurer que l’adoucisseur d’eau fonctionne bien et est bien entretenu.
