Connecting to your service

Afteryou set your Connection and NetworkPreferences, establishing

aco nnection toy ourIn ternetService Provider (ISP) or your

company’s network (dial-in server) is easy.

Note: If you are connecting to an ISP, you need a third-party

application, such as a web browser or news reader, to take

advantage of this connection.

Toes tablish a connection:

■Tap Connectto dial the current service and display the Service

Connection Progress messages.

Tip: Tosee e xpanded Service Connection Progress messages,

pressthelowerhalfoftheScrollbutton.

Toc losea connection:

■Tap Disconnect to terminate the connection between your

handheld computer and your service.

Creating additional service templates

Youcan create additional service templates from scratch or by

duplicating existing templates and editing informati on. After you

createa new or duplicate template, you can add and edit settings.

Toadd a ne wservice te mplate:

1. Tap the Menu icon .

2. TapService, and then tap New.

Anew service template (called Untitled) i sa dded to the Service

pick list.

Toduplica te an existing service template:

1. Tapthe Service pick list.

2. Tapthe predefined service template you want to duplicate.

3. Tap the Menu icon .

4. TapService, and then tap Duplicate.

A copy of the service template is added to the Service pick list.
