TRGprohandheld computer: Address Book, Date Book, To Do List,

MemoPad, Expense, and desktop e-mail connectivity. You can use the

HotSync feature of this software to back up and exchange data

betweenyour personal computer and handheld computer.

Itisagoodideatobackupyourdataincasesomethinghappenstothe

dataon your handheld computer. Changes you makeon your

handheld computer or Palm Desktop software appear in both places

after you synchronize.

With Palm Desktop software, you can do the following:

■Work with your handheld computer applications on your

computer. Palm Desktop software duplicates the Date Book,

Address Book, To Do List, and Memo Pad applications on your

handheldcomputer, so you can view, enter, and modifyany data

stored on your handheld computer.

■Backup the data stored on your handheld computer wit h HotSync

technologyand synchronize the data on your Palm Desktop

software.Syn chronization is a one-step procedure that ensures

yourdata is always safe and up-to-date. See “Exchanging and

updatingdata: HotSync operations” in Chapter 4 for more

information.
