After you create the configuration, you need to set up the HotSync

Managerof y our Desktop application and the HotSync application of

your handheld computer to perform a modem HotSync operation.

Toprepare the HotSync Manager for a modem HotSync operation:

1. Click the HotSync Manager icon inth e Windows system tray.

2. ChooseSetup.

3. Click the Modem tab and enter information about the modem

attached to your personal computer.

4. Click OK.

5. Click the HotSync Manager icon and choose Modem.

Nowy ou’re ready to perform a HotSync operation that uses infrared

communication between your handheld computer, the modem on

your cell phone, and the modem attached to your personal computer.

Toprepare your handheld computer for a modem HotSync operation:

1. Inth e Applications Launcher, tap the HotSync icon .

2. TapModem.

3. Tapthe p ickli st below the icon and select your new configuration.

4. TapEnter phone # to display the Phone Setup dialog box.
