Launch Manager and 802.11b Wireless LAN

By default, the 802.11b wireless LAN is set to Always On. You c an
ma nua lly switc h off the 802.11b wireless LAN by pressing the
button. Manua lly turning off 802.11b wireless LAN does not c hange
this defa ult se tting whic h is re -e na ble d whe n you re sta rt your
c omputer. You have to use the Launc h Manager to set it to Always
Off, so that when you turn on your c omputer, 802.11b wireless LAN
will be off.
In Windows 2000, only the a dministra tor c a n c ha nge the setting in the
La unc h Manager. For a ll other users, press the button, then wait
for the following d ia log b ox to d ispla y.
