LOADING A DISC

1Press DVD/CD.

2If the monitor is closed, press MONITOR OPEN/ CLOSE to open it.

3Press zOPEN/CLOSE to open the disc door.

4Load a disc with the label side up.

5Press zOPEN/CLOSE to close the disc door.

When an audio CD is loaded, a display such as the following appears:

	Music calender (only the first
Lights up	20 tracks are displayed)

NOTE

•Do not place more than one compact disc in the disc compartment.

•Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may result in malfunction.

•Do not touch the pickup lens. If it is soiled, a CD may not be played normally.

PLAYING A DISC

1Load the disc.

2Press c.

Play begins with the first track.

Various guide displays of the current CD operation are shown on the upper right corner of the monitor screen.

Also, you can turn on the playing status information on the left side of the monitor screen.

Playing status information

•To view the guide displays, make sure you have "Guide Message ON" in the Setup menu (see "GUIDE MESSAGE", page 41).

•To turn on the playing status information, use ON SCREEN DISPLAY on the remote control (for details, see "DISPLAYING PLAYING STATUS ON THE MONITOR SCREEN", page 16).

Also, if the monitor is turned on, "CD PLAYER MODE" is displayed on the monitor screen.

To close both the disc door and the monitor, press MONITOR OPEN/CLOSE instead of zOPEN/CLOSE.
