TURNING ON/OFF THE ILLUMINATION

The unit has illumination lights around the function buttons and the VOLUME control.

The illumination lights can be turned on in one of the three different colors.

While the power is on, press ILLUMINATION repeatedly.

This turns on/off the illumination and changes its color in the following order:

Illumination around the currently selected function button

1 Lights in blue

2Lights in orange

3 Lights in purple

4 Turns off

Illumination around the other function buttons and the VOLUME control

1 Lights in orange

2Lights in purple

3 Lights in blue

4 Turns off

NOTE

Turning on/off the illumination lights is not possible during the demo display or when the display brightness is set to "DIMMER 3" (page 10).

OPENING THE MONITOR

Press MONITOR OPEN/CLOSE.

Alternatively, press iwhile pressing SHIFT on the remote control.

To close the monitor, press MONITOR OPEN/CLOSE again.

CHANGING THE ANGLE OF THE MONITOR

Press i or k while pressing SHIFT on the remote control to change the monitor angle, so that the best viewing angle is obtained.

PREPARATIONS

USING HEADPHONES

Connect headphones with a stereo mini plug (ø3.5 mm, 1/8 inch) to PHONES.

No sound is heard from the speakers while the headphones are plugged in.

TURNING ON/OFF THE MONITOR

Press MONITOR ON/OFF to turn on or off the monitor.

The monitor is automatically turned off when TUNER/BAND or AUX is pressed.

This unit is equipped with a built-in monitor. The monitor allows you to view pictures of DVDs and VCDs without connecting an external TV set to the unit.
