Sharing

The Sharing tab dialog box controls network sharing of the printer. Even if you are not using NetWare, you can still share your printer with other users on the Microsoft Network.

The Sharing tab is available only when you open the printer Properties dialog box from the Printer folder. If you don’t see the Sharing tab from the Printer folder, open the Network Control Panel. Select Microsoft Networks as your Primary Network logon. Then select File and Print sharing. Select the options you want and restart your system. Open the printer Properties dialog box from the Printer folder. The Sharing tab should now be available.

mNot Shared When selected, the printer is not available to other users on the network.

mShared As When selected, the printer is available to other users on the network.
