9 UNIX Users

The details of setting up your UNIX workstation depend on which type of UNIX you’re running. In most cases, the setup requires superuser privileges and knowledge of network and printer files (for example, /etc/hosts and /etc/printcap) and should be done by your local network or printer administrator, as described in Chapter 4.

Once this setup is complete, your network or printer administrator will tell you the name of the printer’s local print queues and what sort of documents should be sent to which queue.
