Utilities for Windows, DOS, and NetWare

You can use the Apple LaserWriter Utility for Windows on IBM PC or compatible computers.

In addition, you can use standard Novell network administration programs, such as PCONSOLE.

Apple LaserWriter Utility for Windows

For the most part, Apple LaserWriter Utility for Windows has the same functions as the Apple Printer Utility for Mac OS computers. However, it doesn’t have any of the hard disk or font preparation functions, because these features are part of the Windows printer driver interface. When you use the LaserWriter Utility for Windows to set a parameter, the parameter is stored on the printer itself and affects all printed documents, whether they originate on Mac OS, Windows, or UNIX computers. The Apple LaserWriter Utility for Windows is described in Chapter 3.
