Accessing IS-III

Overview

This chapter provides the procedures that you will use to access IS-III. To administer an IS-III application or perform any on-going system maintenance, you must access the Integrated Solution III Main Menu. However, before you can access this menu, you must first log into IS-III.

Logging Into IS-III

The Iogin procedure allows you to access the Integrated Solution III Main Menu. During this procedure, you identify yourself to the system by entering your Login ID. The system then prompts you to enter your password (if a password has been administered). The system uses the Login ID and passwords to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing the system.

To log into IS-III, perform the following steps:

1.At the Console Login: prompt, type is and press [ ENTER ↵ ].

—If a password has been administered, the system prompts you to enter your password. At the Password: prompt, type your password and press [ ENTER ↵ ]. (For security reasons, your password does not appear on the screen as you type it.) The Status Screen appears.

—If no password has been administered, the Status Screen appears.
