Making a Single Copy
The default resolution for a single copy is AUTO, which you can use for documents containing both text and photographs. You can also select TEXT and PHOTO, as needed.
1Insert the document face down in the feeder.
2Press Copy, then wait five seconds for the document to feed to the start position.
DO NOT pull the paper while copying is in progress.
Using the Photo/Text Key
You can select the Copy resolution for your type of the original document (TEXT, AUTO or PHOTO). Select the right kind of image you’re copying.
1Place the document in the feeder.
2Press Photo/Text. The screen will display the default setting.
DOC TYPE:AUTO
SELECT {} & COPY
TEXT (text only)
AUTO (line art, graphs, or any combination including photograph)
PHOTO (photograph only)
3Press or to select the right kind of image you’re copying, and press Copy.
4Using dial key pad, enter the number of copies.
5Wait five seconds or press Copy again.
Making Multiple Copies
There are two ways to make multiple copies on your machine. You can choose whether the copies will be STACKED (all copies of page 1, then all copies of page 2, etc.), or SORTED (collated). The default resolution for multiple copies is AUTO.
