RS-232 Console Port

The RS-232 port is an asynchronous serial console port supporting the RS-232 electrical specification. The port is used to connect the device to a console managing the device. This interface configuration is as follows:

Eight data bits.

One stop bit.

No parity.

Baud rate is 9600 (default). The user can change the rate from 115200 down to 9600 bps.

Console speeds of 57600 and 115200.

Stacking Ports

The device has two optional stacking interface ports. One stacking port provides an Up connection, while the sec- ond provides a Down stacking connection. A 4X to 4X Infinidband Cable is used to connect devices in the stacking configuration.

The DEM - 411S Stacking kit includes:

a)0.5m CX-4 cable

b)Two DEM - 411T modules
