Removing the Bezel
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
1Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
2Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 41.
3Remove the heat sink and shroud assembly. See "Removing the Processor" on page 62. Do not remove the processor, however.
4Remove the large processor cooling fan. See "Removing the Cooling Fans" on page 65.
5Remove the three bezel release screws. See Figure
6Slide the bezel toward the top of the system, then lift it outward.
