4.2Rack model

ÊTerminate all applications and shut down the server correctly.

ÊIf your operating system has not switched off the server, press the On/Off button.

ÊPull all power cords out of the power outlet.

4.2.1Opening the server

ÊLoosen the two knurled screws (1) and pull the server as far as possible out of the rack (2).

ÊPull the locking lever as far as it will go (see also figure 2 on page 28). This pushes the top cover backward.

V CAUTION!

Do not use the pulled-out server as a surface on which to put things or as a work surface, and strictly avoid leaning on or against it.

ÊRemove the top cover.
