Removing the server from the rack and opening the server
Depending on how accessible the server is in the rack cabinet, it can make sense to remove the server from the rack cabinet.
I Removing the server from the rack may be different. In this case you will find the description in the packaging of the rack mounting kit.
ÊDisconnect all cables on the rear side of the server.
V CAUTION!
At least two people are needed to lift the server out of the rack cabinet.
ÊLoosen the two knurled screws on the front (see figure 4 on page 30) and pull the server as far as it will go out of the rack.

ÊPull the locking bar forward on both sides (1).
ÊLift the server out of the rails (2) and place it on a table, for example.
ÊPull the locking lever as far as it will go (see also figure 2 on page 28). This pushes the top cover backward.
ÊRemove the top cover.
