Configuration

Many of the buttons have multiple functions. Table 3-1describes each button and control. Take a few minutes to review the descriptions. You will use these to initially set up your DVR and for daily operations.

Note There is no separate Alarm button. Pressing any key on the front panel resets alarm output, including the internal buzzer when the alarm is activated. However, when you are in the menu or PTZ mode, you must exit the menu or PTZ mode first to reset the alarm output.

POWER

The POWER LED is lit when the DVR is On.

 

 

ALARM

The ALARM LED is lit when alarm output or internal buzzer is activated.

 

 

REC

The REC LED is lit when the DVR is recording. When the DVR is in Panic recording

 

mode, the REC LED flickers.

 

 

NETWORK

The NETWORK LED is lit when the unit is networked, either via Ethernet or modem.

 

 

COPY

The COPY LED is lit when data is being copied using the internal CD-RW or the

 

USB port.
