5Select Infrastructure and click Next.

The Wireless Network Name page appears.

6Select a network name (SSID) from the list of detected networks, or enter the name of a new wireless network.

7Click Next.

The Wireless Authentication page appears.

8Select either EAP/802.1x or EAP/PSK.

9If you chose EAP/802.1x, select the authentication method your device will use on the wireless network, enter authentication server information, validate the printer with the authentication server, configure the necessary certificate, and enter server settings.

OR

If you chose EAP/PSK, enter a Pass Phrase (from 8 to 63 characters in length, including spaces) that will be used by the software to generate a pre-shared key.

Note: All devices on the network must use the same pass phrase.

10Follow the onscreen instructions to configure the HP PSC for the authentication and encryption type selected.

11When, finished, click Next.

The Configuration Review page appears.

12Verify the information is accurate, and then click Finish.

If you are using advanced authentication methods such as EAP/802.1x (EAP-MD5, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS,LEAP, PEAP) or EAP/PSK (Pre-Shared Key), enter the information in the HP PSC embedded Web server prior to software installation. Enter encryption information at the same time.

Note: You must have a wired connection to access the embedded Web server and configure your wireless settings prior to installation. For more information, see connect your hp psc to a wireless network or computer on page 147.
