x.Enter either the URL or device IP address from the network configuration page into the Address field in your browser.

If the EWS Home page appears, your HP PSC is properly configured.

y.Exit the EWS by closing your browser.

z.Insert the HP PSC software installation CD into your computer's CD- ROM drive.

Verify your access point is broadcasting its network name (SSID).

See your access point’s User’s Guide and check the access point settings.

Turn on options such as “broadcast network name,” and turn off “silent broadcast.”

Cycle power on the access point. Then run the HP PSC 2500 Series software Setup program again.

Move the access point and the HP PSC closer together. Then run the HP PSC 2500 Series software Setup program again.

Check for firmware updates for your access point on the manufacturer’s website.

Update the firmware on the access point.

Run the HP PSC 2500 Series software Setup program again.

the hp psc cannot find your computer

Verify you have a functioning wireless network by using another wireless device.

Verify the HP PSC is operational. (For more information, see wireless network setup troubleshooting on page 207.)

Verify the IP address and subnet mask of your HP PSC and computer are similar (on the same network).

Verify the encryption settings on your access point. The same encryption key and settings must be used on both the access point and the HP PSC. For more information, see wireless network setup on page 141.

computer is unable to discover device

If you have a firewall, grant access permission to the HP PSC.

Try temporarily disabling the firewall to determine whether the firewall is preventing the HP PSC from accessing your computer.
