3Press the E-mailbutton on the front panel of your HP PSC.

Note: Your computer must be connected to the Internet to use HP Instant Share. If you are an AOL or CompuServe user, please connect to your Internet service provider before attempting to use HP Instant Share.

register with hp instant share (Windows)

You can register with HP Instant Share either when the option is offered to you at the end of the installation software or from the HP Director on your computer. This section focuses on registering for the HP Instant Share E-mail service through the HP Director.

1Click the register with HP Instant Share option from your install software.

OR

Open the HP Director, and select HP Instant Share Setup from the Settings drop-down menu.

The Welcome to HP Instant Share Setup screen appears in your browser.

2If more than one HP PSC is installed on your computer, select the device you want to register with HP Instant Share from the drop-down list.

3Click Start to begin the HP Instant Share Setup program.

The Setup program registers your device with the HP Instant Share server while you are registering with HP Instant Share.

The Go Online screen appears.

Note: You must have an Internet connection in order to use HP Instant

Share.

4Select Do not show this screen again...., and then click Next. The One-TimeSetup—Region and Terms of Use screen appears.

5Select a region from the drop-down list.

6Read the Terms of Use, select the I Agree check box, and then click Next. The Sign-in with HP Passport screen appears.

7Click If you don’t have an account, click here.

8Configure your HP Passport authentication account, and then click Next. The You now have an HP Passport! screen appears.
